House work IV

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 8:22 pm

The project continues… The chipping of old bricks is almost done. I’m down to the concrete base in all places. I still have a bit of mortar to remove from the sides of a few bricks. Now I have to begin cutting bricks to fit into the space like a jigsaw puzzle. Wish me luck.

  1. looks like art. have you thought about filling the gap with seaglass embedded in cement or marbles…? 🙂

  2. Yeah right, you know your mother, there is no way she’d allow me to do anything artistic like that. So I’ve got to make it look exactly the same using bricks I’ve saved in the back yard. The only thing difference is the gap will be some kind of elastic joint compound. I also have to adjust the new bricks I add to angle up a bit to match because the sidewalk has sunken 1/2 inch.
