My name is Brian “Tartan” Watt. I live in Austin, Texas. I am married to my childhood sweetheart, Kathleen (Kathy), and have three adult children: Justin, Matthew and Kathryn (Katie).
I am now retired. Previously I worked for a large computer company until I was laid off in July 2013 after working for them 42 years and bridged two weeks later to retirement. I was educated as a Mechanical Engineer, but all through college I worked operating and programming computers. Near the end of college I was a co-operative student working for a semester at this same computer company. Immediately upon graduation I began working for the aforementioned computer company. I had a long wonderful career and did many interesting, creative and technical things there. Now it’s time for something different!
